Love the contrast between the Americans’ “Apollo” and the Soviets’ “Sputnik.” You got the Americans naming their rocket after a Greek god trying to communicate the grandness and importance of this rocket. And you got the Soviets naming their rocket “fellow traveler.” Like a friend you go on an  adventure with together. This rocket is our little friend lol

it's crazy being super into vocaloid and having BEEN super into vocaloid for so long because it isn't really an exact genre of music yet it's treated as such....vocaloid isn't a genre as much as it is a program. vocaloid music can technically mean anything. there was a whole dramatic opera that was played completely straight and just so happened to have miku. does that make it vocaloid music. of course there's always going to be some level of technology to it but there are plenty PLENTY of artists that don't just make virtual poppy stuff and even do all of their instruments live just with miku singing

IDK like when people say they don't like vocaloid music i understand where they're coming from because the majority of music that is popular in the vocaloid space is pop or rock but that's more reflective of like how popular genres are in general. there's plenty of artists who do metal (utsu-P, nashimoto ui, akali/ringo, maretu to an extent) and artists who do electroswing (camellia, maiki P, wotaku) and artists who do hiphop and rap (giga, police piccadilly) and all of that. if you ever find yourself wanting to get into vocaloid but find the popular music boring please just go onto vocadb or something and just go through the tags of genres you like.... vocaloid is not bound to a singular genre :D
